Writing History
I began writing poetry at the age of 10 years old. I wrote a poem about the tragedy of suicide. Throughout my life, I've continued to write mostly on the human condition and about Mother Earth.
I am a staunch environmentalist and deeply concerned about the pollution that has gone on for these past 70 years. As Caretakers of this Amazing Planet, we've done a horrible job! We've let ourselves be governed by superficial objectives and monetary greed, NOT by what was good for our planet or mankind.
Below is a sample ad that's meant to be funny, but does highlight my abilities:
Looking for a New Career?
You can enjoy a good-paying job where you get to set your own hours and earn as much or as little as you want. I can hear you saying, “Oh sure, I’ve heard that before!”
But wait! This concept is GENUINE and it’s been proven over and over again to work. So you must be asking yourself, “What on earth could it be? Is it Amway? Mary Kay? Avon?”
It’s none of those! In fact, you won’t have to go door-to-door to sell your products. People will be coming to you. You won’t have to make those embarrassing ‘cold calls’. And all of your customers will have YOUR name and number on speed dial because your product is so in demand right now.
Wanna know what it is?
Have you ever thought about how it would be to sell drugs for a living? Your neighborhood desperately needs a reliable drug dealer. And you could be it! This is a well-respected job with unlimited earnings potential. And the demand for drugs is going up year-by-year.
So call now and get on our roster. We’ll check out all your references and get you up and running with your own territory right away.* All you need is a fast car for those dicey getaways**. Contact us today and get on the road to a whole new and very lucrative career as your friendly neighborhood drug dealer.
*This lucrative offer comes with a slight risk of being caught and placed in jail.
**Guns are recommended.
If the above ad made you at least think about becoming a drug dealer ... even for a moment ... Then it worked!

In 1988, I wrote my first novel, a tale about a plain young girl who goes on an amazing vacation to Spain and meets an intriguing gentlemen who turns out to be the king of a small middle eastern nation. Its called Andramika.
Favorite Quote: "I'll Mature when I'm Dead." --Dave Barry
In 1994, I wrote another novel about a 10 year old girl who contracts a rare form of MS. It was a heart-rending story of how we sometimes find courage and other attributes inside us that we didn't know were there.
In 1998, I began a novel about a middle aged woman who accidentally discovers a substance that will reverse the aging process in the human body. I worked on this one for 2 years, writing and re-writing until I felt it was perfect. It's still one of my favorite projects to date. It's called "Endless as the Days of Heaven."
In between the novels, I've written half a dozen excellent short stories and a volume of poetry. I have two books still in publication.
I worked on my autobiography which is called, "The Woman With Two Birthdays" for the better part of my life. It is now finished and for sale on Amazon. Please buy a copy!

WASH YOUR EYES
Wash your eyes
With these tears of regret
Wash your soul
With this liquid hope
Keep on believing
Your journey
Has a reason.
No alternative
Is any better.
No other road
Has meaning.

I Am
I am the grass
And you are the rain
I am the leaf
And you are the tree
I am the petal
And you are the rose
I am the star
And you are the sun
I am the dust
And you are the whirlwind
I am the morning
And you are the sunset
I am the child
And you are the Father

Becoming A Human
Whether you’re becoming a writer, an accountant or a school bus driver, the process remains the same. These are principles found in God’s word as well.
At some point, this process develops your character. We don’t come to this planet for our health. We come here to BECOME. Our journey teaches us, it stretches us, it forces us to grow, to evolve.
When you realize the process is taking place, you can do one of 2 things:
I guess, of course, that a great many people go through their whole lives and never even realize what LIFE is all about. They never realize it was just a game. They think all this is real, but it isn’t.
I was born with an understanding of these things. I knew always knew there was a God. I “saw” this process taking place even at a young age. Though I made my share of mistakes, I made a sub-conscious decision at a young age to cooperate with God and try to get through this thing called “life” as easily and painlessly as possible. Looking back now, I feel that things should have gone much better than they did.
Once God drew me a picture. It was a pencil drawing of ME at the bottom and Him at the top. Between us, He drew a straight line that represented the road of Life…the road between me and Him. It was a pretty easy trek.
But running off the road on both sides he drew other lines….many of them. They were curved and swirly. They represented the “detours” that we humans so easily find and travel.
I wanted to take that straight and narrow road that led directly to God. I knew it was the best way for me. But I’m human. I had to see what was around the next bend. I saw those cool little country roads lined with trees and they called to me.
They whispered like the Sirens to Jason, “Come, travel our sod. There are mysteries behind every tree. Listen to the magical song of the Raven. He sings a lovely song about the unknown.”
So I listened to their words and meandered down those dirt roads to see what was there. I didn’t want to miss a single thrill or any well of amazement. I have to admit…I discovered some pretty cool stuff on those side trips. How boring would the journey have been if I’d stayed on the straight and narrow road?
Perhaps we are never meant to do that. Maybe God knows this in advance. It’s we who are ignorant. Those side trips are part of the journey, the process. They do their part in developing our character.
I like to think that this is true whether it is or not. But you have to admit that the Game of Life has infinite possibilities. It has tricks, turns and trials that you never realize until you’re there in the midst of it.
I was always a gamer. I grew up playing games and I’m usually good at them. I don’t always win but I learned a long time ago that winning is NOT the ultimate goal. The goal is to learn something along the way. The goal is to interact with other players and have a positive impact on their lives.
You move through it all as successfully as possible. You learn all you can along the way. You make lots of relationships…some of them change you and sometimes, you change other players by what you say and do. After about 80 years of this, you go back to the Place of Origins and continue on with your real life. Game over.
Dust to dust, ashes to ashes.

- "Word and Moves" is the true story of a girl with a dream and not much more. Her humorous insights and wise ole sayings are built around stories and poems concerning her relationship with her daughter and impending divorce.
- "Prayers to Pray" is a book of Bible-based prayers that can be easily used in everyday life for eveything from family trouble to financial woes.

Becoming A Human
Whether you’re becoming a writer, an accountant or a school bus driver, the process remains the same. These are principles found in God’s word as well.
- You study, work hard, do your homework
- You get thrown into real life situations that test what you’ve learned!
- You study some more cuz you didn’t do all that well on your exams.
- You get thrown into different real life situations that basically test you in the same areas where you flunked last time.
At some point, this process develops your character. We don’t come to this planet for our health. We come here to BECOME. Our journey teaches us, it stretches us, it forces us to grow, to evolve.
When you realize the process is taking place, you can do one of 2 things:
- Cooperate with God and learn as quickly as possible so you can graduate with the best possible marks in as little time as possible.
- Keep doing things your own way and create for yourself some mighty tough obstacles.
I guess, of course, that a great many people go through their whole lives and never even realize what LIFE is all about. They never realize it was just a game. They think all this is real, but it isn’t.
